Despite the massive devastation the city has seen with flooding over the last decade, there has not been enough done to prepare us for future events. While Harvey brought us together as a city and showed how much we can overcome, it failed to bring the various governmental organizations together to start the long process of addressing this challenge.

In order to begin to solve this problem, we must focus on sustainable development, protecting our green spaces and preserving our bayous. This is not an easy task, but it is a necessary one. As city council member for District C, I will work with experts across all fields in order to identify meaningful projects that will maximize the impact and minimize the expense
