Houston is the fourth largest city in the country and as such has a budget that exceeds $5 Billion annually. Property taxes and sales taxes account for roughly 70% of total revenue, as such tax payers and home owners should be the first priority when making policy decisions.

Homeowners property value should be protected, and taxpayers should receive an equal or greater amount of services for the hard earned dollars they pay in taxes to the city. City council and the mayor should act prudently when evaluating places and projects to deploy capital, and when doing so it should be completely transparent where the money is being spent
